 commissioned:26th November 1938. Became part of the 14th Torpedo Boat Squadron.
sunk: 11th September 1943, off Naples. (scuttled by her crew to avoid approaching
      German forces.)

Partenope was active in the central and eastern Mediterranean.Her tasks included attacks
on submarines of the RN, convoy escort and the provision of AA cover for those vessels
transporting German troops across the Straits of Messina once Sicily had fallen.
She was amongst the ships which harried the Pedestal convoy.
Partenope was one of 4 torpedo boats which provided escort for convoy TT, the ill-fated
attempt to provide fuel, ammunition and other supplies to the DAK at the height of 
the battle of El Alamein.
